Rain or shine the cruise will go on!

11:00am

WELCOME CEREMONY
Presentation of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, Prayer Service and Blessing of the Cruise will take place at the Showmobile, Eastpointe Community Schools.

 

1:00pm

VIP Cruise Parade
Our 2024 Grand Marshal is DJ Jim “JJ” Johnson. JJ retired last December from WOMC, after a 52-year broadcasting career in Detroit!

1:30pm

Cruise Lane officially opens

 

2:00 pm

Concert by the ShamRock Jazz Orchestra. The SJO is comprised of mostly East Detroit High School (EDHS) alumni – one from the Class of 1957! Have fun with them as they once again perform at their alma mater.

 

4:00pm

Awards and Raffle Drawings, Eastpointe High School.

 

7:00pm

Cruise Lane officially closes with Eastpointe Police Department Sweep.

Where to park?

In addition to street parking, you may want to check out:

Michigan Military Technical and Historical Society
16600 Stephens (East of Gratiot) accepts at-will donations for parking spaces in their lots. 
They will also be selling light refreshments.
St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church
23000 Gratiot accepts at-will donations for parking spaces in their lots. 
They also have a Moonwalk Bounce House and an Obstacle Course Bounce House.
Kids can obtain a $5 wristband that allows them to play all day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
(St. Peter's will also have a raffle for a 28" Blackstone Grill.)

Feeling generous?

 

Dominic Miller, of Dominic's Christmas Wish, will have a collection basket at this year's Cruise, seeking donations of new pajamas for children in need.   
14-year old Dominic has collected THOUSANDS of pajamas over the past 11 years, and wants to change the world, one child at time.   
All sizes, birth through adult (some teens need larger sizes), are accepted.
